About My Guest:
Ryan is the student pastor at Beach Church in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. He has been on staff at Beach for over 7 years and has been working with students for 15 years. His passion is to challenge and encourage people by preaching God’s Word in a way that moves them to action. He leads a student ministry of over 300 students, 60 adult leaders, and develops and preaches at an annual retreat of over 400 people. He is also a part of the teaching team that preaches to the main congregation.
Ryan’s core belief is that following Jesus makes life better and that life change comes from drawing near to Jesus and not from trying harder. He is passionate about showing how practical, life giving, and inspiring the Word of God and the teachings of Jesus are. He also loves spending time with and discipling young people aside from preaching and teaching.
Ryan lives in Atlantic Beach, Florida with his wife, Karen, and two daughters, Sinclair and Aspen. He graduated from Florida State University (Go Noles!) and loves sports, winter, hiking, BBQ, and Chick-fil-A.

Brett started speaking back in High School taking speech and debate. He was also an actor and musician till his mid 20's. Lots of stage time. As he got into the emerging world of technology, he spoke at many technical conferences worldwide. Kathy Gruver, PhD has graced stages on four continents (including TEDx), three cruise ships, and a handful of islands. Her combination of humour, performance background, real life experience, and formal education makes her a well-rounded, in-demand speaker. She hosts the TV show based on her first book, The Alternative Medicine Cabinet, and has earned her PhD in Natural Health. Dr. Gruver is the twelve-time award-winning author of eight books, including Conquer Your Stress, Workplace Wellness, Conquer your Stress at Work, and Journey of Healing. She has studied mind/body medicine at the famed Benson-Henry Institute for Mind-Body Medicine at Harvard, has been featured as an expert in numerous publications including Glamour, Fitness, Time, WebMD, Prevention, Huffington Post, and Dr. Oz's The Good Life, and has appeared on over 250 radio & TV shows including Lifetime, NPR, CBS Radio, and SkyNews London.
